I would also appreciate more resources. I guess I'm what you might call a "high-functioning borderline," and I recognize that could benefit from some information on how to parent my two small children. I'm a single parent, so I worry about how I'm doing, and I don't want my kids to grow up in a hostile/invalidating environment... but I don't really know what a healthy family dynamic even is sometimes. I'm in therapy, but I wish there were more resources out there with info for people like me, aimed at parenting effectively.

WOW!!! What a great article. Informative nonjudgmental. Do you have any more material that can be shared with individuals struggling witht their own BPD issues while trying to parent toddlers? Am having a difficult time finding resources for a family due to limited finances, location and support system.

I enjoyed your comments about near death experience. What a misnomer! Good medical science, rather than treating it as an anomaly should reconsider what we mean by the word dead.
As a passionate follower of quantum physics and a psychotherapist, I've come to believe that there is no death. Just as I change my clothes tomorrow and yet I am still me, I remain me, whether in my body or not.
You can read further about my approaches to emerging sciences in a non-causal approach to therapy at my recent post, "What is Emergent Thinking?" at http://blog.melschwartz.com
